Quintus Horatius Flaccus (65 BC û 8 BC) known in the English-speaking world as Horace, was the leading Roman lyric poet during the time of Augustus. In his works he told of himself in so kind, sincere and natural manner that everyone who reads his poems feels as his interlocutor.
