Thi Yain Da is 11-years-old and lives as a monk in Yangon, a city in Myanmar. Every day he strikes a big clock in his monastery and starts to meditate. But meditating can be quite difficult when you hear a lot of noise around you - like the air conditioning humming or birds chirping. Thi Yain Da wants to know where all these sounds come from and how it comes he can hear them. He makes his own telephone, lets wineglasses sing and builds a grand device with which he can not only hear sound, but also see it.
