This lesson focuses on parallel and perpendicular lines, and angle measures on a line and about a point. Students learn to identify and draw parallel and perpendicular lines. They then find the shortest distance between a line and a point. Students identify and apply straight angles, vertical angles, and angles around a point to find missing angle measures. Finally, students examine the sum of the angle measures in a triangle.
