At the end of this activity, students should be able to distinguish between endothermic and exothermic organisms, define homoiothermy, explain the importance of homoiothermy for the human organism, describe the basic methods used by the organism thermoregulation process, present elements of the thermoregulatory system and indicate the role of the nervous system in thermoregulation, and present the mechanism of negative feedback in thermoregulation.
