At the end of this activity, students should be able to quote the law of conservation of mass and explain it on the basis of the particularity of matter, explain the terms: atomic mass and molecular mass, read the atomic masses of elements from the periodic table, calculate the molecular masses of chemical compounds, obtain information about the quantitative composition of chemical compounds from their molecular formulae, and use the different ways of representing the composition of substances.
