This lesson explores formulas and substituting values into formulas. Students apply a formula to find the area of convex polygons using the lattice points, or intersections. They apply the Pythagorean Theorem to find the hypotenuse of a right triangle, and use the results to find the perimeter of that triangle. Students also use formulas for the area of a triangle, and the perimeter and area of a rectangle.
