At the end of this activity, students should be able to recognize the effects of human actions on nature as an organized and functional system, recognize the extent of changes induced by humans in ecosystems, understand the association between the quality of human life and the degree of the conservation of nature as an organized and functional system, understand the need for long-term planning and careful management of the exploitation and transformation of ecosystems and understand the need for ecosystem conservation and for the restoration of ecosystems destroyed by human actions.
