At the end of this activity, students should be able to describe when friction occurs, explain the concepts of static friction, kinetic friction and rolling friction, explain on what the force of friction depends, calculate the coefficient of friction from the relationship between friction and the normal contact force and calculate the coefficient of friction by measuring the angle of inclination.
