At the end of this activity, students should be able to explain the terms relating to the internal environment of the organism and homeostasis, explain the roles of the nervous and endocrine systems in homeostasis and the interdependence of these systems, explain the mechanisms of negative and positive feedback, and present an example of a homeostatic mechanism (regulation of glucose concentration in the blood).
