At the end of this activity, students should be able to explain the composition and disposal of solid commercial and domestic waste, discuss the benefits of and problems with the recycling of plastic, paper, glass and metals, indicate the sources of dioxins and explain the environmental impact of using nuclear energy for the production of electricity.
