Through real world footage and photographs students will learn that minerals are naturally occurring, inorganic, solid elements or compounds found in rocks and that rocks are mixtures of minerals. Viewers will come to understand that Minerals come is a variety of forms and that some are metallic, but most are crystalline. Examples of how we use minerals demonstrate the importance of minerals to all living creatures on earth.
