When an ancient alien time traveling device activates in the middle of combat, three members of Bug Team Alpha are transported back to Japan in 1600, where they land in the middle of the battle of Sekigahara--and somehow they must survive the battle and the reaction of the samurai to their genetic enhancements, while they enlist the help of a visiting time scholar to get them back to their present.
