Former high school football star Matt Barnes attempts to prove a convicted murderer's innocence while adjusting to a permanent injury. When a freak snowboarding accident ends his promising football future, Matt Barnes was left him with a permanent limp. Depressed and isolated, he faces a summer job at the local golf club. Then Matt lands an internship at the Justice Project, an organization that defends the wrongly convicted. The other intern is his high-school nemesis, Sonya Livingstone, a social activist with little time for jock culture. The two investigate the case of Ray Richardson, who was convicted of murdering his parents twenty-one years ago. Matt and Sonya become convinced Ray is innocent. Unraveling the cold case will take dedication, perseverance and courage.
