In 2016 the social media hashtag "Oscars so white" protested the lack of nominated Black talent for a second year in a row. 2017 has some saying that maybe things have changed for the better as the Oscars are more inclusive. And, two of the movies nominated for best picture revolve around the Black male experience and what it means to be a Black man. The Agenda discusses what its important for arts and culture to reflect that experience.
