Inspired by actual events, this epic thriller retraces the myth of the 'Beast of Gévaudan' during the reign of Louis XV in 1766 France. Inexplicably depraved killings by an unseen 'monster' terrorize the people of France. As the attacks multiply, the King becomes desperate to end the fear and delegates Grégoire de Fronsac, a renowed scientist, and Mani, a Mohawk, to hunt and destroy the beast.
