Panic disorder can evoke frightening physical and emotional reactions that can be confused with those of a heart attack and, as such, medical assistance should always be called in when a student begins to exhibit its symptoms. Once a panic disorder has been identified, this programme provides teachers with practical and quick-to-implement strategies to deescalate the student when their form of acute anxiety hits.
