A True Story follows the narrator's account of a woman he saw one day as a pensive young boy in the woods, and the deep connection and curiosity he felt towards her. The woman was the thoughtful daughter of a loyalist, and had devoted much time to caring for a wounded soldier. The narrator soon realized that she had given the soldier not just her time, but her love. A story of heartbreak, A True Story observes individuals who, in different ways, were touched by the pains of war.
