The Protected Place is an area of land located in Caledonia, Ontario where the scene of a land reclamation took place in 2006 between Six Nations and the Federal Government. The community of Caledonia was caught in the middle and became the backdrop for violence and national attention. The perspective in the Protected Place is through a Haudenosaunee lens offering understandings not widely shared in the mainstream media at the time.
