When Eyes wants to fly like a butterfly, Anne, Nick and Shania try giving him wings and attach a helicopter apparatus to him, but those attempts have less than stellar results. They finally settle on the simplicity of helium balloons. Unfortunately, the helium balloons send Eyes floating out of the junkyard and it’s up to the kids to get him back where he belongs. This episode teaches children how airplanes and helicopters work. It also introduces them to the elements of gases and how some gases can be heavier or lighter than air (specifically that helium is lighter than air, which is why they are able to make Eyes fly). Anne continues to highlight the components that make-up a scientific experiment (e.g. hypothesis, results, conclusion, trial-and-error approach).
