A portrait of a teen growing up with social anxiety, It's My Party and I Don't Want to Go follows the experiences of a girl who risks a best friendship in her attempt to sabotage her own bat mitzvah, in order to avoid the event's intimidating large crowds and requirement for her to sing in another language.
