While cleaning his new ship with his friends, Shiki unwittingly activates an android woman named Witch Regret, who reconfigures the ship into its original form, the battleship Edens Zero. Witch tells the crew that before they can navigate Dragonfall, a swarm of dragons separating the Sakura Cosmos from the outer regions of space, they must restore the ship's functions by assembling Witch's group of androids, the Four Shining Stars.
