We will learn how to keep a building more safe. We will learn the four categories of workplace violence. We will learn ways to ensure an anti-violence work environment. Where does safety start? It begins with a secure building, informed management and well-trained employees. Every workplace has unique safety issues due to the location, the facility structure, security measures, the type of work performed, the type of services provided, the work flow, the amount of public interaction, and the characteristics and skill level of the employees. There buildings and businesses that are attractive to vandals and thieves such as banks, bars, liquor, and jewelry stores. The good news is that there are inexpensive ways to keep almost every building more safe.
