The Pink Balloon is a gentle invitation to expecting parents and families to allow ourselves to be open to the many possibilities of who our children may be. Believing trans people exist means believing trans people may be part of our own families, extended families, and certainly our communities. We can all make life more joyful and affirming for kids like Briar by taking a tip from her parents and making trans a valid, verbalized option for an identity many of our kids may discover themselves to have.
