Set in and around Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump this novel concerns the relationship between Danny and Joshua, a boy from the Peigan Indian Reserve. When Danny discovers a lance head he begins a journey of discovery about himself, his friend and the history of the Peigan Nation.
