Andrew was hoping that the surprise from his aunt would be the shiny, new mountain bike he had seen with her in a sports store during a summer visit. But the surprise turns out to be a dog named Blue. Andrew is tired of adults making decisions for him. He rejects the dog and is determined even more to make his own choices.
