Mateo is a young man who has special needs and for the first time ever joins a rugby league where players of all abilities play on a team together. He learns and trains alongside athletes of all abilities and prepares to go and represent Team Canada at the IMART Mixed Ability World Cup held in County Cork, Ireland. He learns about the Mixed Ability Sport Model and how inclusive sports can really be where everyone is treated the same. Mateo takes some risks but is able to make those decisions for himself. His confidence soars as his team become World Cup Finalists!
