As a Jewish boy coming of age in Poland during the rise of the Nazi regime, Sam Solasz gathered a sense of strength and courage out of the Holocaust, a tragedy that took the life of every single member of his family. After coming to America with only ten dollars in his pocket, he used this courage to create his business Master Purveyors, a highly successful meat business that does close to $100 million in business each year. Sam fought off anti-semitism, mafia threats, and his own health challenges to keep Masters at the top of the meat industry and remain family owned.
