Their stories demonstrates the power of refusing to fall victim to their life challenges. One segmetn profiles a woman of color who rose from poverty, racism, teen pregnancy, and near bankruptcy to become the second most powerful African American woman in media. A second segment profiles a very young lady who encountered crippling invasive breast cancer right before her wedding day, pivoting and using her experiences to form a business. A third segment profiles a Hispanic child who was following sever abuse by her father, moved to the United States, learned English on her own, became pregnant in high school, married and divorced two husbands who betrayed her, who faced major medical issues, finally quitting a secure position in her 50s and starting a medical clinic for the underserved in her community.
