Have you ever seen a TikTok video that you weren't sure was real? Good intuition! According to NewsGuard, 20 per cent of videos in TikTok's search results last year had misinformation in them.  NewsGuard is a team of journalists who track online misinformation. Last year, the team did an investigation. It searched a bunch of popular news topics on TikTok. It searched words related to school shootings, the war in Ukraine and COVID-19 vaccines. Videos in the top results included things that were fake.  So how can we spot misinformation on TikTok? KN contributor Isabelle MacNeil spoke with a teen fact-checker for some tips.
