Sextortion, or the online sexual exploitation of victims for money, is increasing in Canada. New data from Canada's sexual exploitation tipline, Cybertip, shows there's been a 150 per cent increase in reports of sextortion to their tipline in just the last six months. And a majority of those cases are boys or young men. Shame has pushed some to take their own lives. So why aren't social media platforms doing more to stop it?
