Cin Fabrae, raised in poverty and unfamiliar with the stock market, learned to hustle from her immigrant parents. She joined VTR Capital, a Stratton Oakmont offshoot, where she found young, mostly Black and Brown workers with limited promotion prospects. Despite the inequities, Cin was determined to succeed. She rose from a cold caller to a stockbroker, becoming the only African american woman to do so at her firm. She indulged in the excesses of 1990s Wall Street while enjoying the thrill of making money. Cin’s story in “Wolf Hustle” explores her journey of landing high-value clients, experiencing financial fluctuations, and ultimately outsmarting Wall Street.
