Indigenous children, Morgan and Eli, are placed in a Winnipeg foster home. Feeling disconnected, they discover a portal in an attic to another reality, Askí. They meet Ochek, a hunter in the starving Misewa community. Joined by a squirrel, Arik, they embark on a mission to save Misewa before winter sets in.
