Arachnids lay eggs in order to reproduce. Many arachnids use silk to help protect their eggs. Baby arachnids hatch from these eggs and continue to look more like their parents as they grow. Some arachnids like mites continue to change in different stages of their lives, from egg to larvae to nymph and adult.
