Mammals give birth to live young, unlike bords and fish. Baby mammals are given milk from their mothers to sustain them while they grow after birth. Some mammals carry their young after birth until they are strong enough to be on their own. The duck billed platypus and spiny anteater are the only two mammals that lay eggs.
