Gabby is a 9-yr old Oji-Cree girl who lives in Toronto, Ontario. She's got a cat named Cedar and two turtles named Frankie & Ferrari! Gabby's mom is an artist who does beautiful beadwork, and she's teaching Gabby everything she knows. After they make some chocolate chip cookies - yum! - Gabby and her sister show us their new fancy shawl dancing regalia, and then head out for some ice skating with Gabby's friend Tia. When they get back home it's drawing time! Gabby shows us she is a talented artist in her own right - she's awesome at drawing manga and anime! Finally it's time for Gabby's birthday party celebration - she gets birthday cake and her family sings her a very special birthday song that comes from the Northern Cree. Gabby's special word is "gashkawasin" which means "I am sewing" in Cree.
