Kyra is a 9-year-old girl from Saint Hubert, Quebec. Her family is from Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Nova Scotia. Kyra is very creative - she makes clothes and creates content for her friends and family. She also loves giving back to the community and collects care packages with her sister Kali to donate to those in need. With the help of their dad, Kyra and Kali make Jamaican and Trinidadian stew with a special ingredient - love! Kyra is also a young entrepreneur - she and Kali have their own business selling hair products for girls just like them. One day, Kyra hopes to sell a full line of their Black hair products to big stores across Canada! Kyra's special surprise comes from a role model who is also a passionate entrepreneur and philanthropist. Sunny's Quest features first-person stories told by Black children from across the country.
