Olivia is a 10-year-old girl who lives in Ottawa, Ontario. She'll introduce us to her Haitian Canadian family and tell us about Haiti's history. Also includes the importance of soup joumou (the soup of Haitian independence). Olivia is learning Haitian Creole, gymnastics, goes skating on the Rideau Canal with her family and tells us about the Kompa dance, which she learned from her grandparents. Sunny's Quest features first-person stories told by Black children from across the country. Each episode showcases a different child and their unique perspective on their day-to-day hobbies, their talents, and heritage.
