A polygon is a flat 2-dimensional shape with straight sides, fully closed. They can have numerous sides including triangles (of different types), quadrilaterals (including squares), pentagons, hexagons, heptagons, octagons, nonagons and decagons. Polygons can be regular or irregular in shape.
