Fashion has changed greatly throughout the centuries. Humans first made clothes from animal skins, then Egyptians and Greeks used linen, made from flax fibres. The ancient Chinese discovered silk, a natural fibre, and polyester was invented in 1941.  In ancient Rome men wore togas, and traditions since have included white wedding dresses, buttons on jacket sleeves, denim jeans, mini skirts, track suits, and lumberjack shirts.
