The history, culture and scenery of the Chesapeake Bay Region is nearly unparalleled along coastal North America. From the Chesapeake Canal - Elk Neck State Park leads to the vast open waters of the Bay - featuring major urban centres like Baltimore and Annapolis on the Western shore - with wildlife refuges and tiny towns like St. Michael and Cambridge on its Eastern shore.
