Gorgons are three sisters from Greek mythology, Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa, the most famous one. They had snakes instead of hair, their eyes could turn people to stone, and their wings allowed them to escape danger. Perseus was able to defeat Medusa using a shield given to him by Athena and a sword from Hermes.
