At a crossroads of trade and culture between India, China and the Spice Islands, powerful kingdoms began to emerge, heavily influenced by religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and later Islam. Includes the Han Dynasty, Champa Kingdom, Srivijaya Empire, Khmer Empire, Kingdom of Sukhothai, and the Sultanate of Malacca.
