Instincts drive animals along ancient migration routes on great journeys of the natural world. Migratory animals rely on resources in different parts of the world at different times of the year. Canada geese herald spring on Canada's east coast, heading to their nesting grounds. At the same time a humpback whale, and her Caribbean born calf head north to their feeding grounds in the Bay of Fundy.  For migratory animals, world travel is a means of survival, guided by the sun, earth's magnetic field and memory.
