Adjectives are words used to describe things and make sentences more exciting, words such as big or long. Quantitative adjectives describe amounts such as 'four' and come before the noun; predicative adjectives come after the noun, e.g. the cat was 'black'; and comparative adjectives compare two nouns, e.g. 'taller'.
