Neil Armstrong was the first human to walk on the moon. This was during the Apollo 11 mission. His second in command, Buzz Aldrin, also got to walk on the moon with Neil during the mission. Another man on the team, Michael Collins, had to stay in the ship what was orbiting the moon, to make sure the others were safe.
