The Delaware River and Delaware Bay mark one of the Eastern Seaboard's major waterways - with a watershed covering 5 states - measuring more than 36,000 square kilometres. From Chincoteague Island we head north - exploring the coastal waters of Delaware - and the world famous Assateague wild horses. Beyond Cape Henlopen, and into Delaware Bay, we soar high above Delaware's state capital Dover - returning to the coast above the secluded Bombay Hook National Wildlife Reserve. Further, the waters narrow - as Delaware Bay becomes the Delaware River. Here, we explore Civil war re-creations at Delaware State Park - and cross another state line, as we explore the Pennsylvania shoreline - and the world famous city of Philadelphia.
