Lake Manyara National Park takes the viewer to the heart of east Africa's Great Rift Valley.  Here water flows from the highlands to gather in a great life-giving lake. On its way it nourishes soils enriched by ancient volcanic activity, nurturing a variety of habitats, and feeding the animals living in them. While some are specialized to different habitats, one family, the Olive baboons, roam throughout, taking advantage of all that is available in this rich and varied park.
