In this episode Brandy Yanchyk travels to the Halawa Valley in Moloka'i and visits with Hawaiian Cultural Practitioner Greg Solatorio. To begin, Brandy is given a traditional greeting before Greg speaks to her about his connection with the land as the last original family in Moloka'i. His father Pilip Solatorio is the last original elder and has taught Greg all the traditions of their culture to pass on to future generations. Lastly, Greg makes a traditional Hawaiian food, poi, which is a staple in traditional Hawaiian cuisine.
