In this episode Brandy Yanchyk travels to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to visit the Wanuskewin Heritage Park to learn about Indigenous archaeology and culture. Joining Senior Interpreter Bonnie Masuskapoe, she teaches Brandy about traditional hunting tools and how to use them like the atlatl. Wanuskewin is a special place where archaeologists believe was inhabited 6,000 years ago. Here, Brandy meets Dr. Ernie Walker, who shows them a high-level research site as they look for pre-contact artifacts that will help researchers delve deeper into indigenous history.
