All around the world, coral reefs are threatened by the impact of climate change, and the reefs of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are visibly damaged. The department of education has mandated 2 hours a week of environmental education for schools, using the book entitled "Treasured Islands" with specific information about the ecosystems of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
